Mark Is Here!!!!

Mark was born on September 25 at 4:47pm. I thought I was going to be able to have him like I had Emma, with no labor pains at all, but that was not going to be the case. I had an appointment on Wednesday and the doctor told me I was 4cm, that night I had a lot of non painful contractions and a lot that morning. I took matters into my own hands and decided I was going to go to the hospital to get checked instead of the doctor's office. I figured maybe they would break my water and I could go into labor. I was checked at the hospital and I was 5cm - still with out any pain so I was really hopeful I could have a painless labor again. They admitted me and broke my water and gave me an epidural at 1pm (note the first picture @ 5cm - smiling). By 4pm the epidural had worn off and I could feel contractions (note the second picture @ 8cm - not smiling). They said it was too late to get more medicine so I did not have a pleasant last 45 minutes. I know, I know I had it lucky but I still was hoping for an easier time.

Congratulations! I'm so excited for this new phase in your life. Babies now that you're a seasoned pro and have a bunch of little helpers. I got goosebumps watching the video, remembering the magic that comes with meeting someone so pure and fresh from heaven.

Congratulations Laurie! I know, who is this blog stalker?!? Anyway, it seems like I was just reading the announcement to your kids that you were expecting #4. What a wonderfully exhausting time. Again, congratulations!
